Today, I had an appointment to see the midwife. The visit went well, they aren’t worried that I haven’t really gained any weight, only around a pound so far. (I am actually slightly down from what I was after Thanksgiving, so obviously I ate more for Thanksgiving than I did for Christmas.) All she said was to make sure that I’m getting my fruits and vegetables. Baby was also extremely active while I was there. When the midwife went to listen to baby’s heartbeat, baby moved so much that in about 5 minutes or so she had to relocate the heartbeat 4 times. But the heartbeat was strong and sure (when found) and beating about 140 times a minute.
